Cheese Fries Salad

Ingredients

  • 45 ml (3 tbsp) tahini
  • 250 g pack of Saputo Original Halloumi Cheese Fries
  • approx. 140 g lettuce mix (spring salad mix or San Marino)
  • 250 ml (1 cup) bread crumbs
  • One firm red apple, cubed
  • 2 stalks celery, thinly sliced
  • 5 ml (1 tsp.) chopped tarragon or mint leaf to taste
  • 30 ml (2 tablespoons) sunflower or pumpkin seeds
  • 60 ml (1/4 cup) extra-virgin olive oil
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • Freshly ground black pepper
 

Directions

  1. Cook cheese fries according to package directions. Remove from heat and cut each fry into three equal pieces. Set aside.
  2. Place lettuce on serving platter, garnish with croutons and apple. Sprinkle with celery, herbs, seeds and cheese fries. Drizzle with extra-virgin olive oil and lemon juice. Season with pepper. Serve immediately. Serve with lemon wedges.
