Garlic Stromboli


  • 450 g (1lb) classic pizza dough
  • 250 mL (1 cup) tomato marinara sauce
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 15 slices Genoa salami
  • 250 mL (1 cup) Saputo Italiano 4 Formaggi Shredded Cheese
  • 5 mL (1 tsp.) dried oregano
  • 1 egg, whisked


  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. Roll out pizza dough into a large 30-cm (12-inch) square.
  3. Spread a few spoonfuls of the tomato sauce onto the dough. Sprinkle the garlic over top, place salami in a row, and top with ¾ of the Saputo Italiano 4 Formaggi shredded cheese and all the oregano.
  4. Roll the dough into a tight log, brush with the whisked egg and top with the remaining cheese.
  5. Place the log onto the baking sheet.
  6. Bake in the centre of the oven for 25 minutes.
  7. Let rest for 15 minutes, then slice into several pieces.
  8. Serve with the remaining marinara sauce.
