Tuma is an entirely natural white fresh cheese, rindless and unripened. Renowned for its delicate milk flavour, Tuma resembles Ricotta though has a firmer consistency. Originally made from sheep's milk in Sicily and Sardainia, Tuma is today made from cow's milk.
Tuma can be consumed either cold or hot. This is an ideal cheese for spreads, dips or to compliment fruits or vegetables. Excellent in baked dishes, stuffed pasta or dessert.
